St. Patrick's Day Parade, Friday, March 14, 2003

The City of Los Angeles is sponsoring a St. Patrick's Day parade in downtown Los Angeles on Friday, March 14, 2003 at 11:30 a.m.

Celebrate this event by driving a car in the parade decorated by your Neighborhood Council and inviting your stakeholders to attend! The parade is a great way to celebrate the diversity of this city as well as your neighborhood.

It is also a great way to get members of your council involved in something positive that has an immediate "payoff" in terms of neighborhood pride.

Everyone's Irish on St. Patrick's Day and everyone is welcome to help celebrate the day. If people in your neighborhood own horses and would like to ride them in the parade, that can also be arranged.

If enough Neighborhood Councils decide to participate in the parade we could form a contingent within the parade and increase the visibility of Neighborhood Councils throughout the city. Applications for having a car in the parade need to be returned right away to the parade committee, so please call 310 / 537-4240 and they will fax you one immediately.

Please call us at the numbers below after reviewing the above if you have any questions.
