Thanks again for your help and support in informing the community
about our upcoming event.
On Saturday, June 12, 2004, Educate LA will host the 4th Annual
"Knowledge Symposium" at the Los Angeles Convention Center (Concourse
Hall - West). The Symposium is FREE to the public, with exhibitors
displaying their programs from 10:00am - 4:00pm.
The mission of the Knowledge Symposium is to empower families throughout
Los Angeles County to become more actively involved with their children’s
educational progression, by providing a centralized forum for researching
a wide variety of education related programs, products and services.

This year's invited exhibitors at the Symposium include the Los
Angeles Unified School District, the City of Los Angeles, A.C.T.,
La Opinion, INROADS Southern California, UNITE-LA / School2Career,
Kaplan Test Prep, Sylvan Learning Centers, A Better Chance, the
Princeton Review, Scholastic, Young Black Scholars, LA Youth at
Work, LA's Best, LA Bridges, Fiesta Educativa, the Children's Partnership,
California Science Center, MALDEF, the Hispanic Scholarship Fund,
the United Negro College Fund, Devry University, ITT Technical Institute,
the Los Angeles 10th District PTA, United Teachers Los Angeles and
numerous other education related service providers.
For the 2004 Symposium, we have partnered with Wells Fargo Bank
and the CA 5 a Day Program, as well as several non-profit organizations.
WE HAVE BUSES: If you are interested in arranging a group of 25
or more parents and students to attend the Symposium, please contact
us by Friday, June 4th. Educate LA sincerely appreciates the on-going,
generous support of LA County 2nd District Supervisor, Yvonne Brathwaite
Burke.
