Subject: Community Breakfast Meeting in Burbank - Friday,
February 25, 2005
_______________________________________________________________________________
As we enter
2005, California faces one of the toughest fiscal crises in our
state's history. The governor and legislature will debate various
options throughout this session, many of which will be difficult.
To get a better
sense of fiscal challenges facing California, I'd like to invite
you to have breakfast with me and California State Treasurer Phil
Angelides.
Elected as California's
30th State Treasurer in 1998, Angelides has worked to create jobs
and opportunity for all by investing in California communities.
And to protect the financial security of families, he has been a
leader in the national movement for reform, to end abuses that have
harmed the economy and shareholders. In the state's budget crisis,
he has championed fiscally responsible solutions that promote fairness
and the investments in people and infrastructure that California
needs to prosper in the 21st Century.
The breakfast,
sponsored by The Gas Company, will be held on:
Friday,
February 25th
from 8:30 - 10:30 am
Calamigos
(at the L.A. Equestrian Center)
480 Riverside Drive
Burbank, California 91506
|
.
|
A light breakfast
will be served.
Kindly RSVP by Friday, February 18 to (818) 240-6330 or respond
to dariofrommer@aol.com
I look forward
to having you join us for this special event and for a compelling
discussion with Treasurer Angelides about the future of California.
