Community Impact Statements
A new tool for Neighborhood Councils
Dear NC Leaders:
It is my distinct pleasure to announce to you that the Neighborhood
Council Review Commission has been incorporated into the Community
Impact Statement system. Your Board can now easily communicate its
official positions to the Commission electronically, via this system.
The easy-to-use form allows you to input the item your Board wishes
to address, and to include a brief 100-word statement which will be
distributed to the Commissioners and noted on the agenda. In
addition, you may upload longer documents for the Commission's
consideration.
I hope you will take advantage of this easy and
effective tool — not only to communicate with the 912 Commission, but
to regularly advise all City committees, commissions and boards.
As a reminder, the Commission's agendas are available by Early
Notification System subscription at http://parc3. lacity.org/ ens/index. cfm. In addition, the Commission's
website will debut in the coming days, and will include all relevant
documents for easy download.
And finally, don't forget that the "Council File issue" comes to Rules& Elections for the final time this Wednesday, August 9 at 3 PM in
City Hall room 1070.
Please feel free to forward this to your entire Board for their
consideration. Thank you for your leadership and service to the
stakeholders of Los Angeles.
Best regards,
Jason
