5 Million People Getting Ready to ShakeOut!

In less than a week, at 10 a.m. on November 13, over 5 million Southern Californians, wherever they are a the time, will take part in the largest earthquake preparedness activity in U.S. history! The ShakeOut is a chance to practice drop, cover, and hold on so that we will be ready to protect ourselves in earthquakes. There is still time to register if you have not yet. New! ShakeOut Drill Broadcasts and other videos
Audio and video recordings are now available to
download and play during the ShakeOut Drill. The
recordings include instructions for what to do
during earthquakes, and provide an experience of
how long shaking would last during a big
earthquake. In addition, a remarkable new short
film, "Preparedness Now" vividly depicts the
consequences of the ShakeOut earthquake and how

entertaining, the rally includes a multimedia

As of November 7, over 5.1 million people have
been registered to participate in the ShakeOut
Drill. But there are over 22 million people in
Southern California! There is still time to
