March 16, 2011 - Owner and company indicted in scheme to smuggle goods from China in order to avoid paying at least $1.15 million in customs duties
An investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) resulted in an indictment charging a Chinese national and a company he controls, Woncity Inc., with conspiracy, smuggling, making false customs entries, and false classification of goods in connection with a scheme to smuggle large amounts of plastic bags into the United States from China.

March 16, 2011 - ICE and CBP release 2010 report on counterfeit seizures
ICE and CBP announced that in fiscal year (FY) 2010, their continuing commitment to fight the trade in stolen intellectual property yielded 19,959 seizures, a 34 percent increase over FY 2009. ICE Director John Morton called FY 2010 "a very successful year" for the ICE-led Intellectual Property Rights Coordination Center and its law enforcement partners.

A federal jury convicted two leaders of the international street gang MS-13 of murder and other charges. These charges were made as the result of a HSI investigation stemming from the May 2007 murder of a 21-year-old Flushing, N.Y. man.

March 14, 2011 - Alleged Mexican drug kingpin extradited to U.S. to face drug and money laundering charges
Esteban Rodriguez-Olivera, 47, believed to be one of the leaders of the "Los Gueros" international drug organization, appeared in a N.Y. federal court on Monday to face drug trafficking charges. If convicted, Rodriguez-Olivera could face a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
