May 12, 2011 - ICE announces expanded list of science, technology, engineering, and math degree programs

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) published an expanded list of science, technology, engineering, and math degree programs that qualify eligible graduates on student visas for an Optional Practical Training extension. Doing so increases our nation's access to skilled graduates in the science and technology fields.

May 12, 2011 - 5 arrested in Austin-based visa fraud scam

ICE Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) special agents arrested an Austin-area businessman and four other individuals in connection with an H-2B visa fraud scam. All five were charged with conspiracy to commit visa fraud and conspiracy to encourage aliens to illegally enter and reside in the United States.

May 12, 2011 - ICE and CBP officials return cultural artifacts to Peru

ICE and U.S. Customs and Border Protection returned a collection of cultural artifacts illegally imported into the United States from Peru. The artifacts were discovered during three separate ICE HSI investigations in New York and Denver.

May 10, 2011 - ICE arrests 4 and seizes more than 1,000 kilograms of cocaine in Puerto Rico

ICE HSI special agents arrested four individuals for trying to traffic drugs into Puerto Rico from the Dominican Republic. The agents seized 1,000 kilograms of cocaine with an estimated street value of approximately $26 million.
