Aug. 10, 2011 – Wanted Costa Rican man removed from US
Gerardo Cajina-Badilla was wanted in Costa Rica for indecent assault, sexual abuse of a minor and corruption of minors. He entered the United States illegally in 2005 and remained a fugitive until U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers took him into custody on July 26, 2011 at Newark Liberty International Airport. ICE ERO officers deported him from the United States on Wednesday.

Aug. 9, 2011 – Cyber Crimes Center takes down online criminals
ICE Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) relied on the expertise of the Cyber Crimes Center (C3) to take down members of an online network called Dreamboard. Members of the network allegedly traded graphic images and videos of adults molesting children 12 years old and younger.

Aug. 9, 2011 – Connecticut federal judge orders restitution to victims of child sex abuser
A Connecticut federal judge ordered the distribution of nearly $49,000 in restitution to 16 victims of child sex abuse. The victims attended Project Pierre Toussaint (PPT), a school for boys in Haiti. Victor Perlitz, the abuser, financed the PPT. The case was investigated by ICE HSI.

Aug. 9, 2011 – Pennsylvania man charged with possessing child pornography
A Pennsylvania man was charged with possessing videos and images of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. ICE HSI special agents searched the man's home and seized computers and hard drives. A forensic analysis revealed that the devices contained 305 images and 60 videos of child pornography.

Aug. 9, 2011 – Dominican national sentenced for identity theft, illegal re-entry
A Dominican national who illegally re-entered the United States was sentenced to three years in jail, followed by three years of supervised release, for identity theft and falsely representing his citizenship. This case was investigated by ICE HSI.
