Oct. 5, 2011 - 4 hotel operators arrested for filing false DHS documents
Four non-citizens, all of whom either operated or worked at hotels in New York, were charged with filing false and fraudulent documents with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in an attempt to gain lawful immigration status. The investigation is being conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

Oct. 5, 2011 - New book features ICE agent's role in major drug cartel takedown
After the fall of drug lord Pablo Escobar, the Norte Valley Cartel became responsible for 60 percent of all cocaine coming in the United States. Cartel members had a blatant disrespect for the law and a willingness to kill anyone who stood in their way. This threat of danger didn't stop Romedio Viola, a former special agent with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), from investigating the cartel and bringing its leadership to justice. His efforts were detailed in Jeffrey Robinson's recently released book, "The Takedown."

Oct. 4, 2011 - ICE deports Mexican fugitive wanted for murder
A Mexican fugitive wanted for allegedly bludgeoning a man to death with a lead pipe, was deported Tuesday to Mexico where he faces homicide charges. This removal was conducted by officers with ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations.

Oct. 4, 2011 - Mother sentenced to more than 10 years in federal prison for allowing husband to take pornographic photographs of her minor daughter
According to court documents, between 1999 and 2003, Sharon Anderson knowingly permitted her husband to take sexually explicit photographs of her minor daughter. She further admitted that her daughter was between 4 and 8 years old when the photographs were taken. As the result of an ICE HSI investigation, Anderson was sentenced to 121 months in federal prison for permitting the production of child pornography.

Oct. 4, 2011 - Store owner pleads guilty to food stamp fraud
Mousa Qadi, the owner of Nick's Super Store in Rochester, N.Y., fraudulently acquired and possessed $120,000 in food stamp benefits issued by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He purchased the food stamps for less than full value from beneficiaries in exchange for cash.
