The facility will assist federal, state, and local law enforcement authorities in New England with a wide range of forensic investigative support in cases that are often complex, and require significant examination and analysis.

Oct. 20, 2011 – National Bulk Cash Smuggling Center wages war on criminals' assets
In August 2009, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) established the National Bulk Cash Smuggling Center (BCSC) in Williston, Vt., with the hope of combating criminal enterprises that move illegal assets. Many of these criminal organizations resort to bulk cash smuggling to stay under the radar of regulatory and law enforcement agencies.

Oct. 18, 2011 – ICE announces year-end removal numbers
On Tuesday, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director John Morton announced the agency's fiscal year 2011 year-end removal numbers, highlighting trends that underscore the administration's focus on removing individuals from the country that fall into priority areas for enforcement. These priorities include the identification and removal of those that have broken criminal laws, threats to national security, recent border crossers, repeat violators of immigration law, and immigration court fugitives.

Oct. 18, 2011 – Operation Predator leads to child pornography sentence for North Dakota man
An ICE Homeland Security Investigation (HSI) operation led to a North Dakota man being sentenced on Tuesday to 17.5 years in prison for receiving child pornography. The criminal investigation discovered that Matthew P. Koch, 29, had downloaded about 3,500 images to his home computer of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct.

Oct. 17, 2011 – ICE HSI seizes $3 million worth of counterfeit gods at D.C.-area flea market
Nearly $3 million worth of counterfeit goods were seized and 11 people were arrested at the D.C. Farmer's Market this past week. Special agents from ICE HSI worked conjointly with the Washington, D.C Metropolitan Police Department in this operation.
