Nov. 30, 2011 — Sophisticated drug tunnel found near San Diego
On Wednesday, agencies with the San Diego Tunnel Task Force announced the arrest of six suspects and the seizure of more than 32 tons of marijuana following the discovery of the most elaborate smuggling tunnel uncovered along the U.S.-Mexico border in recent years. The 612-yard long passageway is equipped with electric rail cars, lighting, reinforced walls, and wooden floors.

Nov. 30, 2011 — Former high school teacher sentenced for possession of child pornography
A former Columbus-area high school teacher was sentenced this week to 36 months in prison for possessing child pornography, following an investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations ( HSI ). Matthew R. Fisher, 30, of Pickerington, Ohio, was sentenced to three years in federal prison for possessing more than 600 images of child pornography. Fisher formerly taught at Reynoldsburg High School and coached the district's eighth-grade girls' basketball team.

Nov. 30, 2011 — Jamaican national found guilty of assaulting 2 guards at upstate New York federal detention facility
A federal jury in Rochester has found a Jamaican national guilty on two counts of assaulting a federal officer. Each count carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. This case is being investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations ( ERO ).

Nov. 29, 2011 — US Government announces campaign to combat demand for counterfeit products
The Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Assistance, in collaboration with the National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC) and the ICE HSI-led National Intellectual Property Rights Coordination Center ( IPR Center ), has unveiled a new public education campaign to combat the purchase and sale of counterfeit and pirated goods. This campaign, launched at the White House, will educate the public on various forms of intellectual property theft, from counterfeit consumer goods to pharmaceuticals to illegal downloads and other pirated material. In addition, it will highlight the potential health, safety and economic consequences for American citizens.
