2012 State of FEMA Report
In 2011, together with its partners across the whole community, FEMA responded to a record setting year of disasters, provided assistance to help communities across the Nation through its grant programs, and helped lead the way toward a National Preparedness Goal—a national vision of preparedness for how the nation will work together to approach its shared risk.
Today, FEMA would like to present you with the 2012 State of FEMA report . For the first time, FEMA has captured the highlights of its accomplishments for the year, laid out who it is and provided a vision for where it is going. The 2012 State of FEMA report also shows how utilizing the “whole community” has allowed FEMA to collaborate with its partners to better prepare for, protect against, respond to, recover from and mitigate all hazards.
The 2012 State of FEMA report tells just a portion of the FEMA story. It also shows how much more there is to do. With the continued dedication of the emergency management community and the support of Congress, FEMA is confident it will continue to grow, improve and serve this Nation proudly
