LAPD body-camera policy should promote accuracy: Letters
Re “LAPD body camera policy is flawed” (Editorial, April 30): The editorial was critical of the Los Angeles Police Commission's decision to allow Los Angeles Police Department officers to view video from their body cameras prior to being interviewed on uses of force. The reason given for this criticism was that this would undermine the public's trust of the investigative process because it would somehow allow the officers to “get their story straight” before being questioned. This is absurd logic.
