Reward Offered in Hit-And-Run Crash That Killed Bride-to-Be in Front of Her Reseda Home
A $50,000 reward was announced Wednesday in the unsolved hit-and-run death of a 50-year-old bride-to-be in Reseda just over a year ago. The collision occurred on Lull Street near Enfield Avenue (map), about 9:30 a.m. April 3, according to the Los Angeles Police Department's Valley Traffic Division.

Police Shoot Man in Encino While Serving Arrest Warrant
A suspect was wounded today when Fontana police attempted to serve a drug-related warrant in Encino. The officer-involved shooting occurred at 1:46 p.m. in the 5300 block of Yarmouth Avenue, according to Los Angeles police Officer Chris. No officers were wounded. The suspect, who was not immediately identified, was transported to a hospital, but a condition report was unavailable.

Transient wanted as suspect in Pico Rivera stabbing death
Authorities Wednesday identified a transient wanted in the stabbing death of a man who had been helping an Auto Club member — reportedly the suspect's mother — with a vehicle problem in Pico Rivera. The suspect — 39-year-old Tobias Ruben Cabrera — fled on a bicycle following the 4:30 p.m. attack Tuesday in the 8400 block of Buhman Avenue, the sheriff's department reported.

The family of a West Hollywood man who was beaten by a group of men and left with a traumatic brain injury are asking the public to help identify his attackers. Kirk Doffing, 45, remains in a medically-induced coma at Cedars-Sinai after the assault nine days ago.

Police union asks for emails, texts to investigate officer injuries after riots
The Baltimore police union called Wednesday on the Police Department to release internal communications so it could investigate whether commanders deployed officers unsafely during the riots that rocked the city in April. Baltimore Police Commissioner Anthony W. Batts said he would share that information with the union, but added that his commanders' decisions would also be reviewed by an independent police organization.

Prosecutor Receives Findings in Fatal Shooting of Tamir Rice by Cleveland Police
Sheriff's investigators on Wednesday turned over their findings on the death of Tamir Rice, the 12-year-old boy fatally shot by a Cleveland police officer, to the county prosecutor, who is expected to review the case and present it to a grand jury. The Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Department did not release its findings, and sheriff's officials said they had not made a recommendation on whether charges should be filed.

$15 minimum wage tentatively approved by Los Angeles City Council
The Los Angeles City Council signed off on a new law Wednesday to raise the city's minimum wage, voting 13-1 to hike pay to $15 an hour by 2020. The vote comes two weeks after council members first backed the plan, ordering city attorneys to write the ordinance. The draft law then returned this week for a final council vote.
