LAPD There was significant support in the planning of this
event by Department personnel, especially those of Hollenbeck
Division and Operations-Central Bureau. Commanding Officers who
assisted in coordinating and/or participated in the event included
Deputy Chief Margaret Ann York, Commander Lee Carter, Commander
Jim McDonnell, Captain Paul S. Pesqueira, Captain Anita I. Ortega,
Sergeant Milt Hernandez, Officer Tony Macklin, Officer Mary Balchowsky
and Sergeant Russell.
In addition we would be remiss if we did not give a special thanks
to the Board of Police Commissioners, and our wonderful Hollenbeck
Explorers and Volunteers without whose invaluable help this event
could not have been a success.
This
community supports the police, and thanks the officers for their
service.
LAUSD
Last, but certainly not least, we wish to make special
mention of Bob Spears, Assistant Principal of Bravo High School,
and David Holmes, District H, and Bob Bilousky, District F ...
all members of the LA Unified School District which provided the
coalition with such a wonderful venue for the event.
