BURGLAR ALARM CONTROVERSY - PUBLIC MEEING SCHEDULED

A public hearing and workshop discussion of the verified alarm policy will be held on Monday, January 27, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. in the City Council Chamber at City Hall. The workshop will include a presentation of the proposed policy by the Police Department in order to facilitate a better understanding of the department's position. You are welcome to join City Council members and the LAPD for this interactive workshop, and one-on-one discussion of the alarm policy issue.

Following the workshop, there will be a joint public meeting of the Public Safety Committee and the Education and Neighborhood Committee. If you would like additional information regarding the workshop and hearing, you may contact the office of Councilmember Cindy Miscikowski, Chair of the Public Safety Committee at 213-485-3811, or Councilmember Janice Hahn, Chair of the Education and Neighborhoods Committee at 213-485-3347.

And don’t forget that each of the certified Neighborhood Councils has been given three transferable parking passes for use when visiting City Hall.
