NEXT TREASURER TRAINING
A third Treasurer training session has been planned for those missed
the first two.
February 20 at 6:30 p.m. in the West Valley Municipal Building Conference
Room, 19040 Vanowen St. The first two sessions lasted about 90 minutes,
including all the questions and answers.
BUILDING THE VISION
If you haven’t seen it yet, the Information Technology Agency produced
a wonderful 20 minute feature on Neighborhood Councils several months
ago. The piece features Neighborhood Councils in Pacoima, Glassell
Park, Hollywood, and South Los Angeles. It is inspirational to potential
Neighborhood Council activists throughout the city.
Air times on Channel 35 vary depending upon the length of the City
Council meetings, but if you want to set the VCR try:

INVITE FROM PUBLIC POLICY INSTITUTE OF CALIFORNIA
The Public Policy Institute of California, in collaboration with
the California Community Foundation and the University of Southern
California, is currently planning a PPIC Statewide Survey: Special
Survey of Los Angeles County to be released this spring. This survey
will be the first of three annual large-scale public opinion surveys
of the Los Angeles County adult population. We would appreciate
your input into this new survey series. In particular, we welcome
your thoughts about the major issues facing the county and its residents.
To facilitate your feedback, we would like to invite you to a meeting
at USC on Tuesday, February 11, 2003, to discuss the content of
the survey. The meeting will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the
Dean's conference room at the USC School of Policy, Planning, and
Development.
Please RSVP for the meeting by Friday, February 7th to survey@ppic.org
or Eliana Kaimowitz at 415 / 291-4488.
If you cannot attend the meeting on February 11th, please send us
your comments by e-mail to survey@ppic.org.
For more information about getting to the February 11th meeting
