Re: Community Re-naming Policy
The Education and Neighborhoods Committee met today, but did not
discuss the proposed policy from the Chief Legislative Analyst regarding
the renaming of communities.
Instead, the committee asked that I officially send the proposal
to Neighborhood Councils for possible comments before the committee
meets again on April 1 at 2 p.m. in City Hall. My suggestion is
that in each response you indicate if this is your personal opinion,
or an official response from your Neighborhood Council.
You may address your comments to Darrell Powell in the Office of
the Chief Legislative Analyst, by e-mail to dpowell@cla.lacity.org,
or by fax to (213) 680-9869. If that doesn’t work, try (213) 473-5943.
He will make your comments a part of the official file.
The report is attached. If you received the last one a few days
ago, this is the same report.
