NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL FUNDING PROGRAM

The NC Funding Program is scheduled to be heard by the City Council's Personnel Committee on Tuesday, September 17, at 2 p.m. on the 10th floor of City Hall. If approved by this committee, the last stop before the full City Council would be the Budget and Finance Committee.

The members of the Personnel Committee are: Dennis Zine (chair), Cindy Miscikowski, and Nate Holden.

You've been kept informed of the program's progress, and have been a part of its development, so this will be an important date for us all.

And, yes, I'm aware that this meeting will be held at the same time as the Education and Neighborhoods Committee.

If you desperately need a copy of the Funding Program, you can e-mail Barbara Arita at barita@mailbox.lacity.org and she'll send it to you. Someday soon, all of this will be on our Web site.

SPEAKING OF OUR WEB SITE

We're adding new material everyday.

Now you can go to the site at www.lacityneighborhoods.com and find maps of the Neighborhood Council areas under "Neighborhood Councils."

In this same area, we'll start posting the full transcripts and the summaries of the workshops from the Congress of Neighborhoods.

If you click on "Newsroom" and "Newsletters" you'll find a library of all these newsletters that I've been sending.

Don't click on Articles. I haven't checked them yet, and I think there's lots of clean up work needed first.

The "News Releases" section is starting off with the transcript of an interview that I did, without any sense, on Adelphia Cable. We'll add other news releases here.
