Re: Mayor’s State of the City Address, Five Neoghborhood Councils
Highlighted. City Council Passes Office Space Ordinance.
MAYOR’S STATE OF THE CITY ADDRESS
The mayor singled out the Woodland Hills-Warner Center Neighborhood
Council for its Passport to Reading project, the Hollywood United
Neighborhood Council for its fundraising effort that bought equipment
for the Fire Department, and the combined effort of the Eagle Rock,
Historic Highland Park, and Glassell Park Neighborhood Councils
for their “Santa in York Hills” project.

OFFICE
SPACE ORDINANCE APPROVED BY CITY COUNCIL
The City Council unanimously approved the city ordinance that streamlines
the process through which Neighborhood Councils can lease or occupy
office space. It now heads to the Mayor for signature. It will still
take city departments between 6 months and a year to lease space,
but time to seal the deal for Neighborhood Council will be cut down
to 30 to 45 days.
