Re: Mayor Releases Proposed City Budget and Special Neighborhood Council Supplement

Today is the day when, by law, the Mayor must release his proposed city budget for the upcoming year. And he did just that. You can view the whole budget and the summary by going to:

www.lacity.org/mayor/budget

But here’s the really cool part. For the first time, the Neighborhood Councils have their own separate supplement to the budget. It’s 71 pages, but full of action-packed reading. The wish lists submitted by the participating Neighborhood Councils to the Mayor are reprinted in their unedited form.

But wait, there’s more. The Mayor has recommended that the $50,000 that each Neighborhood Council gets through the Neighborhood Council Funding Program be continued uncut.
