DOWNLOADING NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL MAPS
Maps of each Neighborhood Councils are available from the City's
Web site.
Each time a new Neighborhood Council is certified, the boundaries
are sent to the Bureau of Engineering (Department of Public Works)
where a GIS map is made and entered into the Navigate L.A. system.
Those maps can be viewed or downloaded in PDF format by following
these steps:
Go the city's Web site www.lacity.org/lacity197.htm.
You can also get there by going to the City's Web site at www.lacity.org
and clicking on Interactive City Maps on the left.
Click on Navigate L.A.
Scroll to the bottom and click on Accept Conditions. You might want
to read the disclaimer first.
If asked, click Yes if you need to have the special mapping program
downloaded to your computer. You will only need to do this once
to load the program. You'll have to Accept Conditions again.
Using the "drop down menu" on the top right side (it says "Default
Layers"), go down to Neighborhood Councils and click on it.
Click on Get Maps in PDF Format.
Click on the map you want. You can save it to your computer or print
it out.
STAFF REPORTS FOR NEXT BOARD OF NEIGHBORHOOD COMMISSIONERS MEETING
AVAILABLE ONLINE.
Our home page at www.lacityneighborhoods.com
includes the agenda for the upcoming Board of Neighborhood Commissioners
meeting on August 3 in Van Nuys. We have also posted the brief staff
reports for each item, and optionally, the lengthy attachments to
those reports. Go the bottom of the home page in the News Flashes
section.
As was the case at the last meeting, the session is designed to
provide an opportunity to those Neighborhood Councils that have
not had elections in a very long time. There will also be a report
on the process that is being made toward the planning of the Van
Nuys NC election.
