REGISTERING FOR THE CONGRESS

If you’re coming to the Congress of Neighborhoods on October 9 at the Los Angeles Convention Center and you want to get one of those way cool badges with the lanyards and your name printed on it, you will need to register by October 1. Be the envy of your friends.

RECENT ADDITIONS

The Sheriff’s Department will join the morning session at which the half-cent sales tax will be explained.

In the room that has been set aside for the viewing of the video tapes in our library, including some Neighborhood Council café shows that haven’t aired yet, you will find a delightful and hard working intern from the Mayor’s Office – Holly Campbell. She volunteered to do something people have been wanting for decades, but which nobody has been able to do – identify the all of the different neighborhoods in the city.

Holly’s approach is simply to ask the people who live there. She’ll be in the video room with her maps in the morning, so if you can, please drop by say hello, grab the map for your area, and mark the different neighborhoods that you know about. We can’t celebrate our city’s neighborhoods without knowing where they are.
