During this
intensive course you will learn how to plan and implement a community
tree planting project, including permit needs, tree selection, tree
planting, community organization skills, event planning, budgeting,
and more. Each session will focus on one or more topics related
to this subject. In order to gain the entire experience, participants
are asked to attend all four sessions. (Must attend all 4 courses
in series)

provides board members and stakeholders with an understanding of
how the City works, and how you can advocate for your neighborhoods
within the City structure. You will review, "Your City at a
Glance" and the City flow chart. Share the listing of department
contacts and numbers. (The first 10 to RSVP and attend will receive
a goodie bag.)

provides information to Neighborhood Councils about various funding
opportunities within the City, and how to access the funds. Neighborhood
Councils will learn about the funds to improve the community, the
community groups authorized to give input on how the funds are spent,
and how to partner with the community groups, City departments,
and elected officials to achieve common community goals. (The first
