Re: Web Site Enhancement Easier to Get NC Information. Congress
Survey Results. Citywide Election Procedures Correction.
WEB SITE ENHANCEMENT
EASIER TO GET NC INFORMATION
It used to be
that when you visited our Web site at www.lacityneighborhoods.com
and clicked on NC Roster you got the 70+ page roster
of Neighborhood Councils. That was then. This is now.
Now when you
go to that spot (click
here for a shortcut), you will see how it easy it is to
click in the box to get that same PDF list, or click on the name
of the Neighborhood Council youre interested in, and its
page from the roster will appear. You can also click on Map and
get (are you ready for this?) a map of that Neighborhood Council.
You can display
lists and links for the Neighborhood Councils in each of the citys
seven neighborhood service areas, or by City Council district.
You are now
able to click on the e-mail address links, and send messages to
your favorite Neighborhood Councils and board members.
Please take
a moment to look at the page for your Neighborhood Council. We are
very careful to exclude contact information that board members do
not want made public. However, we must ensure that the names of
each board member appear on the list. Your stakeholders deserve
to know who you are, and they need to have a way to get in contact
with you. That could be a Post Office box, a central postal or e-mail
address for your Neighborhood Council, the secretary, etc.
CONGRESS SURVEY
RESULTS
Here are the
results of the opinion survey that was circulated at the Congress
of Neighborhoods on October 9. This format may be a little difficult
to read, but always try and avoid attachments (at your request),
and when we tried to compare the results from this Congress to the
results from the last Congress, well, were not sure how readable
this will be. Next, were going to put this results into a
chart form and post it on the Web site for those who are interested.
Here goes:

CITYWIDE ELECTION
PROCEDURES MEETING
Small correction:
In the previous newsletter we said that the proposed citywide election
procedures could be found on our home page. That part was and is
correct. Its just that we listed the home page for the City
of Los Angeles and not ours, which always appears at the bottom
of our newsletters. Our address is www.lacityneighborhoods.com
