Re: Next Neighborhood Café Show to Air - King / Drew and
Trama Centers Crisis.
NEXT NEIGHBORHOOD
CAFÉ SHOW TO AIR KING/DREW AND TRAUMA CENTERS CRISIS.
CityView 35
(Channel 35 if you have cable TV) has aired eight Neighborhood Café
shows so far.
We just finished
an intense two days taping the next eight shows. The first one in
this new series will air on Monday, November 1 at 10:00 a.m. and
7:30 p.m.
It will be a
controversial discussion about the closing of the King/Drew trauma
center, which has not only created a crisis in South Los Angeles,
but is creating a domino effect throughout the entire county. Our
host, Paul Napier (Sherman Oaks) takes guests Dr. Richard Baker
and Robert Cole, President of the Empowerment Congress West Area
Neighborhood Development Council, through the issue. Dr. Baker is
the Program Director at the Research Centers in Minority Institutions,
and the Assistant Dean for Research at the Charles R. Drew University
Office of Research.
Also, concerned
Neighborhood Council leaders gathered at the recent Congress of
Neighborhoods to set a course of action.
Be sure and
tune in or set the VCR.
