Re: CONGRESS UPDATE

MAYOR-ELECT ANTONIO VILLARAIGOSA TO ATTEND CONGRESS OF NEIGHBORHOODS SATURDAY (TOMORROW)

His schedule is jam-packed as you might guess.  He expect him to arrive no sooner than 12:30 p.m.  Once you are there, you will be notified exactly when and where he will be speaking.

NEW PRIZES ADDED FOR CLOSING SESSION

“Sail Away with LAFD”

It won't be a "Three Hour Tour," and you won't end up in a remake of Gilligan's Island — this will be better. You and a guest will be taken around the Port of Los Angeles on the Fire Department's fire boat.

There will be two winners, each may bring one guest.

Live Like a King”

One of the most amazing discoveries has been the tomb of the Egyptian boy king; King Tutankhamun. Explore these rare finds at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Over 130 rarely- or never-traveled objects are part of a exhibit of 3,300-to-3,500-year-old artifacts.  The last time artifacts from Tut's tomb visited the U.S. was between 1976 and 1979. Tickets are valued at $150 each, and have been made available to you  through the combined efforts of the Cultural Affairs Department and Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

Two tickets
