EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS AMBASSADOR TRAINING SMASHING RECORDS
If there was ever any question about how serious Neighborhood Councils are taking emergency preparedness, you'd better sit down for this one.
As you know, we "graduated" 15 Ambassadors at the first round of training last year. The second round of training over three consecutive Saturday mornings starts this Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Constituent Service Center, 8475 So. Vermont Avenue. So far, 77 persons have said they will be coming!!!!

FUNDING PROGRAM FAQ IMPROVED
Our website has always included a Frequently Asked Questions section regarding the Neighborhood Council Funding Program. It's been growing, so we just reorganized it to hopefully make it easier for you to find what you're looking for. Go to the website, click on
Funding>Funding Program FAQ.
VERMONT HARBOR NC REPORT AVAILABLE
At the March 21 meeting of the Board of Neighborhood Commissioners, there will be a report before the board that asks that our department facilitate community meetings for the purpose of getting public input on the holding of a new election now that the board is unable to attain a quorum. That report, and its attachments, can be found by going to our website and clicking on
Commission>Staff Reports. This refers to the rarely used process that attempts to avoid decertifcation. It was used in Van Nuys, Venice, Arleta, and Greater Wilshire for a slightly different reason.
