Re:
Neighborhood Council Review Commission Draft Plan. Emergency Preparedness Ambassador Training. Change of Command.
NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL REVIEW COMMISSION DRAFT PLAN RELEASED
Councilman Alex Padilla, chairman of the Education and Neighborhoods Committee has released, for discussion purposes, a draft plan for the formation of the Neighborhood Council review commission. The committee will discuss the matter tomorrow, Tuesday, at 9 a.m. on the 10th floor of City Hall. The four-page draft will be available on our home page at either 4:03 or 6:03 p.m. today. Look in the section called "Your Input is Invited."
EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS AMBASSADOR TRAINING A SUCCESS
After attending special training sessions on three consective Saturdays, the city graduated 30 new Emergency Preparedness Ambassadors, bring the citywide total to 45. At each of the recent training sessions, there were 50-60 people in attendance, which means that there are many more that have been partially trained. It's a mind-blowing success by any standards.
CHANGE OF COMMAND

I am naming Lisa Sarno, the Assistant General Manager, as the acting general manager on April 14. She will have decision-making authority. After April 25 you may reach me through the office at (213) 485-1360 or done@lacity.org .
