ORDINANCE FOR THE 912 COMMISSION.
City Council approved the City Attorney's draft Ordinance for the 912 Review Commission on April 26, 2006 . The Ordinance outlines the method for appointing the commission that will evaluate the citywide system of Neighborhood Councils as required by City Charter Section 912.
The total number of commissioners will be 29. Appointments to the Commission will be made in the following manner: Each of the 15 Councilmembers will have an appointment The Mayor will have 14 appointments, 7 of which will be from a pool of individuals that are recommended from NC's within the City's designated 7 Planning Areas.
