Congress of Neighborhoods - Sat, June 17th
The Congress of Neighborhoods is an annual event organized by the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment as an opportunity for members of Neighborhood Councils, community based organizations, youth groups and local businesses to gather and exchange ideas and offer resources for neighborhood improvement projects, outreach methods, networking and training.
Keeping in step with Mayor Villaraigosa's vision of a safer, better prepared citizenry, the focus of this year's Congress will be EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS. Workshops will be offered to inform and train individuals, families and neighborhoods how to be better prepared for an emergency.
