Re: Informational Meetings in Reference to Neighborhood Council Election Transition to City Clerk
In December of 2007, the City Council of Los Angeles approved the transfer of responsibility for conducting the Neighborhood Council elections to the City Clerk. So as to ensure a smooth transition between the different departments running the elections, the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment and the City Clerk invite you and your neighborhood council board members to an Informational Meeting.
The purpose of the Informational Meeting will be to inform your board about the transition process and answer questions about the upcoming elections. To best accommodate Neighborhood Councils, there will be a series of meetings conducted throughout the City. Please refer to the following schedule to learn when we will be meeting in your area.
