- 18 Divisions / 18 Community-Police Advisiory Boards
Community-Police
Advisory Boards (C-PABs) were created in 1993 to provide community
members with an opportunity to provide information and advice to
their respective Area and to take information from the police department
back to the community. Each of the 18 geographic LAPD Divisions
(areas with a community police station) throughout Los Angeles has
its own C-PAB. These advisory groups meet monthly to discuss crime
and quality of life issues.

Los
Angeles Community Policing depends on each of us knowing what's
going on in the City, and each Division's C-PAB and Community Relations
Officer can ask us to add whatever they want here in this section.
Just send us an electronic copies of your newsletters (no scans),
or flyers, or write up a C-PAB article on whatever you wish. MS
Word documents attached to an email work well for this. And if your
C-PAB has a website, we'll just make it a direct link!
NOTE: The names of any individuals mentioned in your articles should
not be sent to us unless you have already recieved specific permission
to place their names in the public forum. Because of time constraints
we can not check each one ourselves.
So ... get busy. Let the rest of LA know what you're doing in your
Division!
