Will You Help Los Angeles Neighbors in Crisis?
LA Fire Department

by Brian Humphrey
LAFD Spokesman

Dear Friend of the LAFD,

Can you see yourself as a trained volunteer, working alongside Los Angeles Police Officers and Firefighters to assist your neighbors in their time of need?

The LAFD, LAPD and Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa are encouraging local residents to join the City of Los Angeles Crisis Response Team volunteer program.

Crisis Response Teams (CRT) are groups of trained volunteers on call to provide immediate, short-term on-scene support and guidance to families, neighbors, witnesses and survivors in their community traumatized by fire, serious injury, death or violent crime.

City of Los Angeles CRT training begins Tuesday, January 27, 2009.

Respectfully Yours in Safety and Service,
