The mandate of the Human Relations Commission is to give evidence that we are all members of a single society. It is our purpose to highlight the fact that this community’s incredible diversity is not a negative factor; rather, pluralism itself enables all of us to reach many extraordinary goals that we set for ourselves.

The first Thursday of the month has been selected as the regular meeting day for monthly Human Relations Commission meetings. Board members also agreed that they should make an attempt to schedule some of their Board meetings out in the community, perhaps at night, so as to give a better opportunity for Angelenos to attend.
