An open invitation from LACP.org to the LAPD Command Staff
Dear LAPD Command Staff:
This is an open invitation to those of you who may not be familiar
with the work of Los Angeles Community Policing to visit our LACP.org
website.
We wish to assure you that our commitment is to be issue driven,
fair and inclusive, and we invite your active participation.
We want you to think of LACP.org as YOUR site ... because it is.
The response from the community, the Department and the City has
been extremely enthusiastic. Many of you in the Command Staff have
already expressed your appreciation and support ... and for this
we are very grateful.
We are a forum for the dissemination of information, the sharing
of ideas, and suggesting of ways the community can become engaged
in making our streets safer, to improve the quality of life.
Anyone interested in community based policing specifically, and
community involvement in government in general, should think of
LACP.org as their site.
You may find the newly launched, interactive, online LA Community
Policing calendar of particular interest. Feel free to add events
...
If you've not been aware of LA Community Policing, please accept
this invitation, and take a few moments to familiarize yourself
with the LACP.org website.
It's YOUR site too, as an important stakeholder in the City of Los
Angeles.
Yours in service,
Bill Murray
