There's so much information available online about Community Policing
that it's hard to know where to begin. The popularity of these programs
springs from the fact that Police Departments can point to them
as a reason that moral is up and crime rates are down. Both the
Officers and the community they serve feel they are a part of the
solution.
These
people are not forming vigilantly groups, but rather partnerships
in improving the quality of life in their area. Community Policing
programs are incredibly cost effective. As they succeed, the role
of the Police Officer is understood, respected and admired.

organizations in the United States:
