Volunteers needed for Funeral Services
Funeral arrangements are being made for fallen Firefighter Brent Lovrien. At this time volunteers have been requested to assist in the set up, support, Rehab and logistics of the following three events:
Prep for Friday's Funeral
Wednesday, April 2nd
- 0800 hours to 1400 hours
- Frank Hotchkin Memorial Training Center
- 1700 Stadium Way
- Los Angeles, CA 90012 |
Volunteers are needed in the clean up and preparation of Frank Hotchkins Memorial Training Center for the funeral services on Friday. Volunteers will be cleaning, sweeping, picking up trash and planting flowers. Time will be from 0800 hours to approximately 1400 hours. Refreshments will be available. Dress is casual....bring work gloves. Frank Hotchkins Memorial Training Center is located at 1700 Stadium Way, Los Angeles, CA 90012.
Candle Light Vigil
Thursday, April 3rd
- 1600 hours to 2100 hours
- Fire Station 5
- 8900 South Emerson Avenue
- Westchester |
The first service event will be Thursday, April 3rd at Fire Station 5. A Candle Light Vigil is being held at approx 1700 hours. Volunteers will be needed for set up and rehab at this event. Specific duties will come as the preparation is completed. Volunteers are needed from 1600 hours until approximatley 2100 hours. Fire Station 5 is located at 8900 South Emerson Avenue in Westchester.
Funeral Service
Friday, April 4th
- 0630 hours to 1500 hours
- Frank Hotchkin Memorial Training Center
- 1700 Stadium Way

The second service event will be on Friday, April 4th at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Angels, and guests will be shuttled back to Frank Hotchkins. Volunteers will be assisting with parking, set up of the reception and directing guests. Volunteers are needed from 0630 hours until around 1500 hours. Frank Hotchkins Memorial Training Center is located at 1700 Stadium Way, Los Angeles, CA 90012.
Volunteers are required to wear a dress uniform which is a Light Blue Duty Shirt. If you do not have a uniform you are to wear Business Attire. Please try to carry as little on your uniform as possible. This is a formal event. You may wear casual attire to any venue prior to guests arriving but must change once guests begin to arrive.
